We are looking for highly motivated people who are interested in leadership, team building, and outdoor adventure games to become a Four Arrows Challenge Course Facilitators at UConn.

Facilitator Training Requirements*:

  • Attend our 40-hour Challenge Course Training in August (Mon, 8/11 - Fri 8/15) 
  • Have consistent weekend availability to work programs

As a fully-trained challenge course facilitator, you will apply leadership skills and a basic knowledge of group dynamics to guide groups and individuals through transformative challenge course experiences. The skills and expertise that you will develop as a challenge course facilitator can be translated to other leadership scenarios throughout life.

Application Process

  1. Log into JobX (use "APPLY HERE" button below for quick access).
  2. Click Storrs Student Labor/Work-study and "set choices".
  3. Search active job listings for "Class III - Student Recreation/Athletic Instruction Specialist - 3450ST" the employer is "Student Activities-Involvement Office"
  4. Check the box to the left of the job list and press the "Apply for all selected jobs" button
  5. Fill out application and submit a cover letter and resume.
  6. Resumes will be reviewed and those who meet qualifications will be asked to come in for an interview.
  7. After a review period, a handful of candidates will receive job offers.
  8. Acceptance of the job offer acts as the new employee's confirmation to attend Four Arrows Training!
  9. Hired staff must attend our 40-hour Challenge Course Training in August (Mon, 8/11 - Fri, 8/15).
